Workshop Abstract

With advances in artificial intelligence (AI), wearable and mobile devices, large electronic medical records, medical imaging, genomics, and other medical big data, it is increasingly clear there is a need to incorporate these emerging contents into formal educational curriculum of medical and other professional health sciences degree programmes. Defining a ‘Digital Health and AI’ competency framework is critical to ensure the right content is introduced to students at the right time. In this workshop, we will explore various digital health and AI topics, in-class activities, and assessment format that can be incorporated into a formal curriculum.
