Workshop 2: Advancing Health Professions Education: Implementing Interprofessional Education and Understanding Research Methods
Workshop Abstract
This two-part workshop aims to equip participants with essential competencies in designing, implementing, and advancing research in health professions education.
Part 1 focuses on Interprofessional Education (IPE) implementation, offering practical strategies for developing, executing, and evolving IPE initiatives. Topics include pedagogical approaches for large-scale global initiatives, technology integration, integration of student-as-partner, and promoting student engagement.
Part 2 aims to develop participants’ research skills by introducing quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods approaches to evaluating educational effectiveness, with an emphasis on generating impactful research agendas. Through interactive activities, both sessions promote active learning, innovation, and ongoing collaboration to advance health professions education as a whole, with IPE as a key component.
